The petitioner is A7 in Crime No.293 of 2023, originally registered by the respondent police for the offence under Sections 341, 294(b), 302, 506(ii), 201 & 34 of IPC and subsequently, altered to Sections 120B, 201, 294(b), 302, 34, 341 & 506(ii) of IPC. The petitioner had been remanded to custody on 18.11.2023.

2.It is the case of the prosecution that the defacto complainant's elder brother who is the deceased, had a relationship with another girl. It is stated that the brother of that girl had reprimanded the deceased not to have any further contact. On 15.01.2023, the said brother had called the deceased for compromise and at that time, a quarrel arose and the deceased was murdered. 3.It is stated that there is a proposal to detain three of the accused under Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982. So far as this petitioner is concerned, it is staged that there are 37 previous cases against him. C.V.KARTHIKEYAN,J.

4.Taking those factors into consideration, at this stage, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
