(Order of the Court was made by R.MAHADEVAN, J.) This petition is filed by the petitioner seeking to implead the petitioner as one of the respondents in the above writ appeal. 2.

Heard Mr.G.Sankaran, learned Senior Advocate appearing for the petitioner, who submitted that though the petitioner is eligible for promotion to the post of Deputy Director (Administration) as per the panel approved by the Government in G.O.(3D).No.2 dated 13.03.2023, the respondents are not issuing promotion order in favour of the petitioner by referring to the pendency of the present writ appeal. Since the order dated 20.07.2023 passed in W.P.No.10484 of 2023, which is impugned in this writ appeal, is having bearing on the promotion of the petitioner, this miscellaneous petition came to be filed to implead the petitioner as party to the writ appeal.

Mr.Abishek Murthy, learned Government Advocate appearing for the first respondent and Mr.G.Bala, the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent, submitted that they have no objection in allowing this petition. 4.

On the basis of the reasons stated in the affidavit filed in support of this petition and considering the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this petition is ordered as prayed for. 5.
