ORDER
This contempt petition has been filed to punish the respondents for willfully and deliberately violating the order of this court dated 18.07.2023 made in W.M.P. No.16153 of 2023 in W.P. No.16943 of 2023.
2. When the contempt petition was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the respondents 2 and 3 would submit that the first respondent has filed an affidavit on his behalf and on behalf of other contemnors and submitted that the following amounts have been paid to the petitioner.
DCRG Rs.10,51,956/- (Cheque No.473215/14.07.2023) GPF Rs.1,90,376/- (Cheque No.027164/14.12.2023) Security Deposit Rs.3,513/- (Cheque No.549428/15.12.2023) EL Encashment Rs.5,49,296/- (Cheque No.783390/11.03.2024) Increment Arrears Rs.30,528/- (Cheque No.783394/20.03.2024) Commutation Rs.8,47,194/- in Cheque No.210404, dated on 04.04.2024 (sent through Indian Bank ECS) Page No:2/5
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner not disputed the receipt of the said amount. However he submitted that travelling allowance and encashment of unearned leave on private affairs have not been settled.
4. In reply to the same, the learned counsel for the respondents 2 and 3 submitted that a proposal has been given to the Government, however, the same has not been considered by the Government. In view of the affidavit filed by the first respondent, the contempt petition is closed, with liberty to the respondents to settle the remaining amount within a period of three months. In the event, the respondents do not settle the amount, the petitioner may revive the contempt petition.
