Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to dispose of the representation made by the petitioner dated 15.02.2018 with regard to issue legal heir certificate of the petitioner's mother Amsaveni Ammal within the time to be stipulated by this Court.

Mr.D.Suriyanarayanan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent and by consent of the parties, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. Heard both sides.

3. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondent to dispose of the representation dated 15.02.2018, wherein and whereby, the petitioner sought for issuance of legal heir certificate of the petitioner's mother Amsaveni Ammal.

4. The grievance of the petitioner before this Court, is that the said representation has not been considered so far. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the respondent to consider and decide the same. Thus, this writ petition is disposed of, only with a direction to the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

15.02.2018 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the rival claimants, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the respondent within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
