Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the records relating to the detention order passed by the second respondent pertaining to the order made in C3/D.O./63/2020 dated 23.05.2020 in detain the detenu under Section 2(b) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 as Goonda and quash the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu S.Babu @ Murder Babu, S/o.Sakthivel, aged 37 years, who is detained at Central Prison, Cuddalore before this Court and set him at liberty. O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by R.PONGIAPPAN, J.] The petitioner is the detenu viz. S.Babu @ Murder Babu, son of Sakthivel, aged 37 years. The detenu has been detained by the second respondent by its order dated 23.05.2020 in C3/D.O./63/2020, holding him to be a "Goonda", as contemplated under Section 2(f) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982. The said order is under challenge in this Habeas Corpus Petition.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate [Crl. Side] appearing for the respondents.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Government Advocate [Crl. Side] on instructions submitted that, this Petition has become infructuous.

4. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed as infructuous.
