Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to produce the body of the detenue, Vetri, son of Sivaprakasam, aged about 34 years, before3 this Court and set him at liberty.

(The order of the Court was made by V.DHANAPALAN, J.) Heard Mr.V.Devendhiran, the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.Maharaja, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents.

2. This petition has been filed seeking a direction to respondents 1 and 2 to produce the body of the detenu, Vetri, Son of Sivprakasam, aged about 34 years, before this Court and set him at liberty.

3. When the matter is taken up today for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions and with all available materials, informed that the detenu, Vetri, has been arrested on 27.05.2015, in connection with Cr.No.1445 of 2015 for offences under Sections 341, 294(b), 427, 392, 397 and 506 (ii) IPC and he was produced before the learned IX Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai and remanded to judicial custody and now, he is confined in Puzhal Prison, Chennai. It is also stated that the petitioner's father has been informed about the arrest.

4. Recording the above submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed. The petitioner is at liberty to work out his remedy in the manner known to law.
