PRAYER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to depute any other official other than the 4th respondent herein to conduct the Peace Committee Meetings pursuant to the case registered in the Cr.No.214 of 2021 on the file of Inspector of Police, Kayar Police Station, Vandalur Taluk, Chengalpattu District/5th respondent. For Petitioner : Mr.K.PremKumar For Respondents : Mr.Mohamed Sathik Government Advocate for R1 to R4 Mr.A.Gokulakrishnan Additional Public Prosecutor for R5 No appearance for R6 and R7.

O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking to direct the 1st respondent to depute any other official other than the 4th respondent herein to conduct the Peace Committee Meetings pursuant to the case registered in the Cr.No.214 of 2021 on the file of Inspector of Police, Kayar Police Station, Vandalur Taluk, Chengalpattu District/5th respondent.

2.When the matter is taken up today, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that there was a dispute between the petitioner and the 6th respondent, in respect of which the 5th respondent has registered a case in Cr.No.214 of 2021. Since there was subsequent incident disturbing the breach of peace, the 5th respondent has forwarded the matter for Peace Committee Meeting before the 4th respondent. During the pendency of Peace Committee meeting, the parties have compromised the matter between themselves.

3. The learned Government Advocate representing the respondent Nos.1 to 4 and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing the 5th respondent would submit that the dispute has been compromised between the petitioner and the 6th respondent and the Peace Committee Meeting is not necessary.

4. Recording the above submission, nothing survives for adjudication, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
