ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to file a final report in Crime No.42/2015 pending on his file.

2. The case of the petitioner is that as against one A.Suresh and others, he has lodged a complaint and the same was registered as FIR in Crime No.42 of 2015 on the file of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Section 420 IPC. Though the complaint was registered on 06.06.2015, till date, final report was not filed. Hence, this petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who took notice for the respondent.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondent police to investigate the case in Crime No.42 of 2015 pending on his file and file a final report, if not already filed, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
