This writ petition has been filed to forbear the respondent police from harassing the petitioners and their family members by interfering in a civil dispute. 2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that the 3rd respondent had called the parties for an enquiry based on the complaint given by the petitioner which is pending in CSR No.746 of 2023 and the counter complaint that was given by the rival party. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor made it clear that if the parties do not want the police to enquire into the matter, the police will not interfere in this dispute and it will be left open to the parties to agitate their case before the competent Court.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners do not want any interference from the police, since the dispute is civil in nature and the parties are already agitating the same before the competent Civil Court. 4.In the light of the specific stand that was taken by the learned counsel for the petitioners, it is made clear that the respondent police will close all the complaints given by the petitioners as well as the rival party and it will be left open to the parties to agitate their rights before the competent Civil Court. The police will not interfere in this dispute.

5.This writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. No Costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
