Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing 1 to 4 respondents to remove the encroachment made by 6 to 8 respondents in Survey Nos.288/1B, 288/2 of Vadasiruvallur Village, Sankarapuram Taluk, Kallakurichi District by considering petitioner's representation dated 20.11.2023 as per G.O.(Ms) No.540 Revenue (LD6(2)) Department dated 04.12.2014 within stipulated time as fixed by this Court. ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.K.Kathiresan, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.C.Kathiraven, learned Special Government Pleader for respondent Nos.1 to 4 and Mr.S.Sugendran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for respondent No.5.

2. Encroachment is alleged of S.Nos.288/1B and 288/2 situated at Vadasiruvallur Village, Sankarapuram Taluk, Kallakurichi District.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader, on instructions of the Revenue Tahsildar, Sankarapuram Taluk, states that the said survey numbers vest with the Rural Department. The survey work is going on to identify the encroachers. After completing the survey work, Form-I would be issued to the Block Development Officer to evict the encroachers. The learned Special Government Pleader submits that within six months, the encroachments, if any, would be removed.

In view of the said statement, no orders are necessary. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
