ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction the respondents police to grant police protection to the petitioner for cultivating the lands of the petitioner on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 06.01.2017 and consequently take appropriate action as per law against the accused persons.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents and perused the materials placed on record.

3. It is submitted that the petitioner's earlier request to the police seeking for police protection was rejected on 21.10.2017 on the ground that since Civil Suit is pending between the parties, protection cannot be granted. It is needless to point out that whenever a Civil dispute is pending before the Civil Court of law, it is for the parties to approach the concerned Civil Court seeking for such protection on the strength of any interim order that may be granted by that Court.
