This Writ Petition has been preferred under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issue of a Writ of Certiorari, to call for the records pertaining to the order dated 04.05.2009 passed by the first Respondent in case No. 2242/enquiry/2009 and to quash the same.

JUDGMENT

(Judgment of the Court was pronounced by T.RAJA.J) This Writ Appeal has been directed against the order dated 07.01.2010 made in W.P.No.20372 of 2009 by a learned Single Judge of this Court.

When the matter was called today, learned Counsel for the appellant fairly submitted before us that the appellant department has prepared a Citizen Charter from 2018 enabling the applicants seeking information under the Rights to Information Act to receive the information as per law and as such, from 2018 onwards, they have been providing information. Therefore, the challenge made by the appellant against the impugned order need not be gone into.

Placing on record the statement made by the learned Counsel for the appellant, the appeal is dismissed as infructuous as nothing survives for further adjudication. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. s/d- Assistant Registrar True Copy Sub-Assistant Registrar tsi To
