ORDER
[Made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed to call for the records from the 3rd respondent relating to the petitioner's missing daughter T.Anu, aged about 16 years and direct them to produce the petitioner's daughter T.Anu and hand over her to the petitioner.

It is the case of the petitioner that her daughter Anu, aged about 16 years, went missing from 23.10.2021 and that the police are not taking effective steps to secure her. 3.
On instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on a complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Melpadi Police Station Crime No.314 of 2021 for 'girl missing' was registered on 17.11.2021 and the investigation reveals that the detenue Anu has eloped with Thirumalesh, fourth respondent herein. He further submitted that earlier on three occasions, the detenue Anu had eloped with Thirumalesh and every time, the police had secured her and handed over her to her parents.
In such view of the matter, this habeas corpus petition stands closed with a direction to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Katpadi Sub-Division, to supervise the investigation in Melpadi Police Station Crime No.314 of 2021 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when detenue Anu, aged about 16 years, is secured, she shall be produced before the Judicial Magistrate Court, Katpadi, under intimation to the petitioner. On such production, the learned Magistrate shall pass appropriate orders with regard to custody in accordance with law.
