The State represented by The Inspector of Police, Ranipet Police Station, Ranipet District.

(Crime No.122 of 2025) ... Respondent PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 483 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, to enlarge the Petitioners/Accused on bail in Crime No.122 of 2025 pending on the file of the respondent Police. For Petitioners :

Mr.A.Saravanan For Respondent :

Mr.A.Gopinath Government Advocate (Crl.Side)

O R D E R

The petitioners, who were arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 21.04.2025, for the offence punishable under Sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)© and 29(1) of NDPS Act, 1985 in Crime No.122 of 2025, registered on the file of the respondent, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 21.04.2025 at about 09.30 hrs, based on secret information, the police party went near Ammur Walaja Railway Station, Ranipet and found that the petitioners herein were in possession of 21 kgs of ganja. Hence, the case was registered.

3. It is seen that, this Court twice dismissed the petitioner's earlier bail petitions on the ground that the contraband seized is of commercial quantity and Section 37 of NDPS case is applicable and now the present petition is filed seeking same relief on the ground that final report has been filed in this case.

4. This Court already considered the merits of the case and dismissed the petition on the ground that Section 37 of NDPS is applicable and the mere filing of final report is not a ground for granting bail to the petitioner. Hence, this Court is not inclined to revisit the earlier bail petition.

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 04.02.2026 2/3
