This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the learned V Metropolitan Magistrate at Egmore to dispose of the C.C.No.517 of 2013 pending for disposal since March 2013 as expeditiously as possible.

2. It is seen that a case in C.C.No.517 of 2013 is pending on the file of the learned V Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, in which the petitioner has filed an application under Section 12 and 23 of the Domestic Violence Act, seeking various reliefs including maintenance, compensation and monetary relief, which seems to have not been disposed of by the learned V Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore and the matter is being adjourned on mere asking by the respondents from the year 2013 onwards. Hence, the present petition.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the learned V Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore is directed to dispose https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

of the C.C.No.517 of 2013 within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
