ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to disburse the balance amounts of terminal benefits, including Provident fund, Gratuity, Commutation, IRT, Labour Welfare Fund and DA based on the petitioner's representation dated 18.12.2025.
2. Mr.P.Balathandayutham, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the first respondent. Ms.S.Pavithra, learned counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondents 2 and 3 and Mr.C.S.K.Sathish, learned counsel takes notice on behalf of the fourth respondent. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel on either side, the Writ Petition is taken up for
final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner joined the service of the second respondent Corporation as Civil Helper on 21.05.1983 and he was orally terminated from the service in the year 1997. Aggrieved by which, the petitioner raised an industrial dispute in I.D.No.727 of 1997 and the same was allowed. Subsequently, the petitioner joined the duty of the second respondent Corporation as a Non ITI Junior Helper in the year 2011 and thereafter, he was promoted as a Senior Non ITI Helper. Later, the petitioner retired from the service on 31.08.2025. The grievance of the petitioner is that terminal benefits have not yet been settled, despite his retirement on 31.08.2025. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation dated 18.12.2025 before the third respondent, seeking settlement of the terminal benefits. However, the same has not been considered till date. Therefore, the petitioner has preferred the present Writ Petition.
4. Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the 3rd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 18.12.2025 and pass appropriate orders on the same within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.
5. On the above contention, this Court heard the learned counsel appearing for the respondent.

In view of the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.12.2025 and pass appropriate orders on the same in accordance with law within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties. It is made clear that the petitioner would be entitled to interest @ 6% per annum for the benefits to which he is entitled to towards belated payment.
7. This Writ Petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid direction. There shall be no order as to costs.
