O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the 3rd respondent to comply with the proceedings of the 2nd respondent dated 06.12.2023 and to carryout the necessary rectification in the revenue records based on the representation made by the petitioner.

2.Heard Mr.K.C.Karlmark, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of respondents 1 to 3.

3.The case of the petitioner is that he is the absolute owner of the subject property by virtue of registered Settlement Deed dated 23.11.1983. The further case of the petitioner is that the names of some of the third parties who had no right over the property was erroneously entered in the patta. In view of the same, the petitioner made a representation to the 2nd respondent on 29.11.2023. On receipt of the same, the 2nd respondent through proceedings dated 16.12.2023 directed the 3rd respondent to deal with the same and pass appropriate orders. The grievance of the petitioner is that the 3rd respondent had not acted upon the directions issued by the 2nd respondent and as a result, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court. 2/4

4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and also the limited relief that has been sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the 3rd respondent to follow up the proceedings issued by the 2nd respondent dated 06.12.2023 and pass appropriate orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. It is also made clear that all interested parties will have to be heard before orders are passed by the 3rd respondent.
