This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the second respondent police not to harass the petitioner under the pretext of enquiry and not to compel him to settle the money in respect of the complaint bearing C.No.G3/22467/2979/VPM/21/SP on the file of the second respondent police.

2.The contention of the petitioner is that on the complaint of one Chandrasekar, the petitioner had been called for enquiry and forced to settle the issue with the above said Chandrasekar. Though the petitioner had explained that it is a civil dispute, the respondent police are forcing the petitioner to settle the issue.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that one Chandrasekar had given a complaint to the Superintendent of Police, Villupuram, which was forwarded to the second respondent in C.No.G3/22467/2979/VPM121/SP, for which the petitioner was called for enquiry. Thereafter both the petitioner and the complainant appeared, after enquiry the same has been closed. Now the petitioner is no more required.
