ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to settle the difference in payment of medical leave salary. by considering his representation dated 17.09.2025, in the light of the orders of this Court in W.P (MD) No.14520 of 2020, dated 21.03.2023, W.P. Nos.29602, 29604, 29606 and 29609 of 2023 dated 12.10.2023, W.P. No.2891 of 2025, dated 10.02.2025 and W.P. No.2895 of 2025 dated 10.02.2025.

2. Mr.A.Vinothraj, learned counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondent. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel on either side, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was initially appointed as Junior Assistant in the respondent Transport Corporation on 31.07.2008 and retired from the service on 31.07.2008, upon attaining the age of superannuation as Welfare Inspector. The grievance of the petitioner is that though he was retired on 31.07.2008, there was a shortfall in encashment of the medical leave salary. Therefore, he made a representation dated 17.09.2025 before the

respondent, seeking to settle the difference in payment of medical leave salary. However, the same has not been considered till date. Therefore, the petitioner has preferred the present Writ Petition.

Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 17.09.2025 and pass appropriate orders on the same, in the light of the orders of this Court in W.P (MD) No.14520 of 2020, dated 21.03.2023, W.P. Nos.29602, 29604, 29606 and 29609 of 2023 dated 12.10.2023, W.P. No.2891 of 2025, dated 10.02.2025 and W.P. No.2895 of 2025 dated 10.02.2025, within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.

5. On the above contention, this Court heard the learned counsel appearing for the respondent.

6. In view of the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.09.2025 on merits and pass appropriate orders on the same in accordance with law within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties.

7. This Writ Petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid direction. There shall be no order as to costs.
