O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent herein to consider and pass orders on the petitioners' representation dated 22.08.2025 to regularise their service from the date of their original appointment in the light the orders passed by the first respondent herein in G.O. (D) No.609 Municipal Administration and Water Supplies (MC3) Department dated 18.10.2025 with all consequential service and monetary benefits within a time frame as fixed by this Court.
2. Heard the learned counsels on either side. With the consent of both sides, the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners were appointed in the erstwhile Manali Panchayat and were absorbed into the Greater Chennai Corporation in the year 2011 on merger of the Panchayat with the Corporation. He contended that persons working along with the petitioners have been regularized on completion of 3 years of service vide Government Orders dated 08.08.2019 and 27.08.2019 and as per the order passed in W.A.No.1615 of 2018. Despite the proposals sent by the second respondent to
the first respondent to regularise their services on par with the similarly placed persons and the representation of the petitioners dated 22.08.2025, there was no response and hence, the present Writ Petition.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the contentions put forth by the learned counsel for the petitioners, this Court directs the second respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioners' representation dated 22.08.2025 in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. Writ Miscellaneous Petition filed by the petitioners to permit them to file a Single Writ Petition is ordered. There shall be no orders as to costs. 20-01-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order DP
