ORDER
The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to rectify the error on the face of the records in the assessment proceedings for the year 2011-12 under TNVAT Act, 2006 dated 28.11.2014 by disposing of the petition filed by the petitioner under Sec.84 of TNVAT Act, 2006 dated 05.10.2015 as expeditiously as possible.
2. Ms.R. Hemalatha, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner confined the prayer in the writ petition for the early disposal of Sec.84 application, filed by them.

3. Mr.V. Haribabu, learned Additional Government Pleader, taking notice for the respondent, submitted that the respondent may be directed to dispose of Sec.84 application, filed by the petitioner, within a stipulated time.

Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and taking into consideration the limited prayer now sought for by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's application, filed under Sec.84 of TNVAT Act, 2006 dated 5.10.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected MP is closed.
