PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to relax the condition imposed upon the petitioner in Crl.M.P.No.31430 of 2023 dated 13.12.2023 that the petitioner shall report before the respondent police everyday at 10.00 a.m. until further orders passed by Hon'ble Principal District and Sessions Judge, Chennai.

O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for modification of one of the condition that was imposed by the Court below while enlarging the petitioner on bail through order dated 13.12.2023 in Crl.M.P.No.31430 of 2023.

2. Heard Mr.R.Thiyagu, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.Damodaran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. When the petitioner was enlarged on bail, he was directed to appear before the respondent police daily at 10.00 a.m. until further orders.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submits that the petitioner has been complying with this condition from 16.12.2023 to 24.01.2024. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the investigation is pending. He further submits that there are two previous cases against the petitioner, which are similar in nature. Page Nos.2/4

5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, the above condition imposed by the Court below is modified to the extent that the petitioner shall report before the respondent police every Friday at 5.00 p.m. until further orders. Other conditions imposed by the Court below shall stand unaltered.
