(Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH,J.) This Habeas Corpus Petition is filed by the husband of the detenue for a direction to the respondents to produce the detenue before this Court and set her at liberty.

2. It is seen that the petitioner's wife Suseela went missing in connection with which, a case in Crime No.1236 of 2014 for woman missing has been registered by the respondent police on 08.06.2014 and the investigation is in progress. The respondent - police have filed a status report dated 15.7.2015 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

stating that steps are being taken by the police for tracing the missing woman. It is also stated in the status report that the detenue had collected money from various persons and had gone missing. Even according to the petitioner, in his affidavit, he has stated that the detenue was doing real estate business and she was having so many contacts with various persons.

3. Apparently, it is not a case of illegal detention and hence a writ of habeas corpus cannot be issued. However, the respondent is directed to proceed with the investigation in Crime No.1236 of 2014 and keep the petitioner informed about the further developments in this case.

4. With the above direction, this Petition stands disposed of.
