ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to transfer the convict viz., Mohamed Zahir, S/o.Muthu Mohammed, aged about 51 years from Vellore Central Prison to Puzhal -I Central Prison.

It is the case of the petitioner that he is undergoing sentence in Central Prison, Vellore, having been convicted by the Special Court for NDPS Act Cases in C.C.No.28 of 2016 and he is seeking transfer from Central Prison, Vellore to Central Prison, Puzhal.

In this regard, the petitioner's wife Ayisha Parveen has given a representation dated 01.12.2020 to the fourth respondent, who in turn has forwarded the representation on 18.12.2020 to the office of the Director General of Prisons, Chennai.

Recording the same, this habeas corpus petition stands disposed of with a direction to the third respondent herein to consider the representation dated 01.12.2020 and pass orders in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
