The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the respondent to call the petitioner for personal interview for selection and appointment to the post of Assistant Engineer (Electrical) based on the written examination held on 24.09.2017.
2. The petitioner participated in the process of selection pursuant to the recruitment notification issued for appointment to the post of Assistant Engineer (Electrical).
3. The grievance of the writ petitioner is that she was successful in the written examination but was not called to attend the personal interview and hence, the present writ petition is filed.
4. The learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondent made a submission that the petitioner comes under MBC Community and the petitioner can compete under G.T. (Non Priority) Category, G.T.Women (Non Priority), MBC/DNC (Non Priority) and MBC/DNC Women (Non Priority) categories. The petitioner has scored 84.600% of 2/5
academic marks and 65% of weightage is 54.990. Further she has scored 43.000% in written examination and 25% weightage of marks for the written examination is 10.750%. The total weightage of marks secured by the petitioner is 65.740%. The details of cut off marks in respect of the above categories in which the petitioner can compete are furnished below:
Sl.No.
Category Number of Vacancies Number of Candidates Shortlisted Cut off marks (Total weightage of 65% & 25&) 1.
G.T.(N.P) 73.630 2.
G.T.Women (NP) 72.270 3.
M.B.C./DNC (NP) 70.815 4.

6. Therefore, this Court do not find any infirmity in respect of the process of selection which was concluded in the year 2019 and the selected persons were appointed consequently.
