The petitioner has filed this petition seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to settle the pension arrears along with interest. 2.
Heard Mr.D.Soundar Raj, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.L.S.M.Hasan Fizal, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent and perused the materials available on record.

When the matter was taken up today, Mr.D.Soundar Raj, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that all the retiral benefits have been disbursed to the petitioner except interest. The petitioner has also given a representation, it has not been considered so far. 4.
Hence, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 02.01.2021 and pass appropriate orders on its own merits and in accordance with law within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and this Writ Petition is disposed accordingly. No costs.
