PRAYER : Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to conduct effective investigation in Crime No.29 of 2023 on the file of 2nd Respondent and to freeze the Account No.282205500235 of 3rd respondent, bank Account No 004405016784 of 4th respondent bank and Account No.187905003008 of 5th respondent bank pursuant to the petitioner's representation dated 11.12.2023. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent police to conduct effective investigation in Crime No.29 of 2023 and to freeze the bank account of the accused person maintained before the banks arrayed as respondents 2 to 5.

2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that the bank account has been freezed on 09.10.2023 and 12.10.2023 and the relevant documents were also placed before this Court. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor further submitted that the investigation is pending in this case. 3.In the light of the above stand taken by the 2nd respondent, it is seen that an effective investigation is being conducted in this case and recording the same, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the 2nd respondent to complete the investigation and to file a final report, as expeditiously as possible.
