Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of certiorarified mandamus, calling for the notification dated 28.12.2023 issued by the respondent No.5 with respect to performing "Thaipoosam Thiruvizha" in Shri Kadambavaneswarar temple, Kulithalai, Karur District, Tamil Nadu and quash the same and consequently directing all the respondents to perform "Thaipoosa Thiruvizha" which is on 25.01.2024.

ORDER
(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.Suriya Kannan Sabanayagam, the petitioner-in-person and Mr.NRR.Arun Natarajan, learned Special Government Pleader (HR & CE) for respondents 1 to 4.
2. The petitioner-in-person submits that the notification issued, thereby taking a decision that the Thaipoosa Thiruvizha will not be performed is illegal.
3. The petitioner-in-person has already given a representation to the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR & CE) Department. The HR & CE Department shall take a decision on the said representation, on its own merits and in accordance with the law and policy, to perform the Thaipoosa Thiruvizha on or before 22.01.2024.
4. In the light of that, the writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, W.M.P.Nos.747, 748 and 749 of 2024 are closed.
