Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent 1 to 3 to consider and pass orders on the petitioner representation dated 19.12.2020 to grant police protection during the Thai Poosam festival on 27.01.2021 and 28.01.2021 taking the statue of Arulmighu Mangammal Mahalakshmi as rally from Kathirimalai to Erode and again to reach to Kathirimalai temple.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus directing the respondent police to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 19.12.2020 wherein the petitioner has sought for police protection for conducting the Thai Poosam festival on 27.01.2021 and 28.01.2021. 2.Heard Mr.S.P.Yuvaraj, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.M.Mohammed Riyaz, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3. 3.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and also the limited relief that has been sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the 3rd respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 19.12.2020 by calling the parties for enquiry and necessary decision shall be taken strictly in accordance with law immediately.

4.This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No Costs.
