The present criminal original petition has been filed to call for the records in Crime No.1 of 2002 on the file of the Sub Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Coimbatore, dated 01.01.2002 and quash the same.

2.Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that though the case was registered as early as in 2002, till date, no charge sheet has been filed.

3. Leaned Additional Public Prosecutor replied that investigation in this case was completed and charge sheet was made ready in the year 2012 itself and the same is forwarded to the concerned Magistrate. He further submitted that charge sheet will be laid within a short span of time.

4. In view of the submissions of learned Additional Public Prosecutor, there is no need to consider the prayer to quash the FIR in Crime No.1 of 2002 on the file of the respondent https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

police, since charge sheet itself was made ready. The respondent is directed to file the charge sheet within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
