This Petition has been filed before this Court under the caption "For extension of time" along with the report sent by the learned Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, for the exclusive trial of CCB Cases (Relating to Cheating Cases in Chennai) and CBCID Metro Cases, Egmore, Chennai in Dis.No.253 of 2018 dated 14.09.2018.

It is seen from the records, while disposing the petition in Crl.O.P.No.20132 of 2017, this Court by an order dated 22.09.2017, directed the trial Court to complete the trial proceedings in C.C.No.1290 of 2001, within a period of six months. However, the learned Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, for the exclusive trial of CCB Cases (Relating to Cheating Cases in Chennai) and CBCID Metro Cases, Egmore, Chennai has sent communication dated 14.09.2018 in Dis.No.253 of 2018, narrating the sequence of proceedings in C.C.No. 1290 of 2001 and sought further period of three months time to complete the trial in the said case.

Considering the above facts and circumstances of this case, this Court is inclined to grant three months time to complete the trial in C.C.No. 1290 of 2001 from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 30.04.2019 vsn/mpa http://www.judis.nic.in
