Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.03.2018 seeking patta for his properties situated at Uzhuthamangalam Village, Madurantakam Taluk, Kancheepuram District, comprised in Nanjai Survey No.72, Survey No.122/1B, 19/6, 129/3 and Natham Survey No.82/3 admeasuring to extents of 42 cents, 44 cents, 6 cents, 15 cents and 6 cents respectively, within time frame to be stipulated by this Court. Mr.D.Suriyanarayanan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus to direct the respondent to consider the representation dated 03.03.2018, wherein in whereby, he has sought for issuance of patta for the properties situated at Uzhuthamangalam Village, Madurantakam Taluk, Kancheepuram District, comprised in Nanjai Survey No.72, Survey No.122/1B, 19/6, 129/3 and Natham Survey No.82/3 admeasuring to extents of 42 cents, 44 cents, 6 cents, 15 cents and 6 cents respectively.

4. The grievance of the petitioner is that the said representation has not been considered so far. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner as it is for the respondent to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 03.03.2018 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner and the rival claimants, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the respondent within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
