ORDER
This writ petition has been filed, challenging the impugned order dated 13.10.2025 passed by the third respondent, cancelling the petitioner's patta. 2.Admittedly, there is an appeal remedy available to the petitioner if aggrieved by the impugned order dated 13.10.2025 before the District Revenue Officer, Chennai.
3.Learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions would submit that the petitioner is now willing to prefer an appeal before the District Revenue Officer, Chennai as against the impugned order dated 13.10.2025 passed by the third respondent.
4.In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner is directed to file an appeal before the District Revenue Officer, Chennai as against the impugned order dated 13.10.2025 passed by the
third respondent, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the District Revenue Officer, Chennai shall pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law, by adhering to the principles of natural justice on the said appeal as expeditiously as possible. Since no adverse order is being passed against the 5th respondent, notice to the 5th respondent is dispensed with.
5.Since the District Revenue Officer, Chennai is not a party respondent in this writ petition, the District Revenue Officer, Chennai is impleaded as the party sixth respondent in this writ petition. 6.Registry is directed to carry out the necessary amendment. Only after carrying out the amendment, the registry is directed to issue the order copy to the petitioner.
7.Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected WMP is closed. No costs.
