The petitioner/accused seeks anticipatory bail in Crime No.411 of 2023. registered originally under Section 174 of Cr.P.C, later altered into Section 306 of IPC.

2. It is stated that the husband of the defacto complainant had obtained hand loan from the accused by pledging the RC book of his vehicle. He had received a loan of Rs. 3,800/- . He had repaid the entire amount except a sum of Rs.800/-. The accused came and humiliated the husband of the defacto complainant. It is stated that the defacto complainant's husband/deceased thereafter was found hanging. He had committed suicide.

3. The Court had adjourned the matter for one occasion in the hope that some compensation would be granted to the family, particularly because the deceased was a daily wage worker and his son was studying 10th standard. But however, the learned counsel for the petitioner stated that the deceased is a drunkard. If that be the case, further investigation will have to be done. 1/3

4. Taking all those factors into consideration, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition seeking anticipatory bail stands dismissed.
