Respondents PRAYER: This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.PC, praying to transfer the investigation of the case in Crime No. 3256 of 2016, which is pending on the file of the 2nd respondent to the file of 1st respondent or to any other independent investigating agency to investigate the same effectively based on the complaint given by the petitioner and file a final report within a time to be fixed by this Court. O R D E R

Though the prayer sought for in the present petition is to transfer the investigation from the second respondent to the first respondent herein or to any other independent investigating agency, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he will be satisfied, if the prayer is moulded to direct the first respondent to file a Final Report.

2. In view of the alternative relief sought for by the petitioner, I am inclined to direct the first respondent to file a Final Report within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
