PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to consider the representation dated 17.08.2021 to the petitioner to give police protection to the petitioner.

ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 17.08.2021 and to give police protection to the petitioner.
2. The petitioner is a senior citizen. The grievance of the petitioner is that one Raghupathy, Ramesh and Venkatesan sons of Late Dhanapal naidu had filed a civil suit against the petitioner's peaceful possession and enjoyment of the property in O.S.No.294 of 2014, in which they had also filed an interim application No.334 of 2019, to evict the petitioner. The Additional District Munsif Court, Cheyyar, by an order dated 19.08.2019, finding that no prima facie case is made out, dismissed the interim application. No appeal or revision preferred before the higher forum. The third respondent Ravi, who is the Panjayat President of the Nemeli Village, using his https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
position and with the help of the police men and men with muscle power attempting to evict the petitioner from his property. Hence the petitioner has filed this petition. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the respondent police duty is to maintain the law and order and to protect the life of the citizens, moreso senior citizens and they do not involve in the civil dispute. The parties are advised that if any of them is aggrieved, they have to approach the civil forum and not with men or muscle power. He further submitted that the respondent police will take appropriate action with regard to the petitioner's representation. 4.In view of the same, the respondent police to complete the investigation within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
