This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.5604 of 2012 on the file of the X Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Egmore, Chennai. 2.When the matter is taken up today ie., on 28.06.2019, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner either in person or by his counsel.

3.The learned Government Advocate [Crl. Side] appearing for the 1st respondent would submit that in this case the evidence as regards the prosecution has been completed and the petitioner/accused has also been questioned under Section 313 of Cr.P.C. Thereafter, the case has been adjourned periodically for production of defense side witness from the year 2017 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

onwards. The learned counsel for the 2nd respondent confirms the same.

4.Under these circumstances, the learned X Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai is directed to complete the proceedings in C.C.No.5604 of 2012 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
