ORDER

The petitioner is an accused in C.C.No.531 of 2024 on the file of the Additional District Judicial Presiding Officer, Principal Special Court under E.C.Act, Chennai. The petitioner who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 05.12.2023, for the offences punishable under Section 8(c), 20(b), (ii)(c), 25,29(1) of NDPS Act and Section 120 B of I.P.C on the file of the respondent police seeks bail,

2. This is a sixth bail petition filed by the petitioner and the earlier four bail petitions was dismissed by this Court. This Court while disposing 1/4

the fifth bail petition of the petitioner on 03.12.2025 in Crl.O.P.No.29175 of 2025 has held as follows:

Considering the report and other relevant circumstances and taking into account the fact that the petitioner has been in custody for a considerable period, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the Trial Court to expedite the trial proceedings. The respondent police are also directed to take necessary steps to serve summons on A1 in this case. Furthermore, the Superintendent of the Central Prison, Rajamahendravaram is directed to extent full cooperation to the Trial Court for securing the presence of the petitioner, either in person or through virtual mode for trial. Accordingly, the Trial Court is directed to initiate all necessary steps to begin trial and conclude the same as early as possible.

3. The above order was passed on 03.12.2025 and the petitioner has filed the present bail petition within a short span of time and without waiting for a reasonable period. Therefore, this Court is of the view that if the petitioner is released on bail it will affect the trial process. Hence, this Court is not inclined to entertain this petition. Accordingly, this criminal original petition stands dismissed.
