ORDER

The petitioner has come forward with the above Writ Petition praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 20.01.2018 in accordance with law.

2. The said representation was made by the petitioner to grant provisional affiliation upto Secondary level to the School, namely Kamaraj International School, Vayalur, Chidambaram Taluk, Cuddalore District, under the deeming provision. Taking note of the fact that the said representation is pending, and that subsequent to the filing of this Writ Petition, the Director of School Education, Chennai, has communicated to the CBSE stating No Objection to the said School for applying affiliation to CBSE, subject to the conditions laid down in the Certificate of Recognition.

Hence, the said representation of the petitioner shall be considered by the respondent and after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner before taking a decision, appropriate orders shall be passed by the respondent on the said representation, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, or on production of a copy of this order by the petitioner, whichever is earlier, and if any documents need to be produced by the petitioner, the same shall be complied with by the petitioner to enable them to get the said affiliation and the same shall be considered by the respondent before passing such orders.

4. With the above observations and direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
