ORDER

This Contempt Petition has been filed seeking to punish the respondent herein for his wilful disobedience of the order of this Court dated 19.09.2019 in W.P.No.27553 of 2019.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner Mr.V.Gunasekar submitted that the learned District Collector has not decided the representation of the petitioner dated 25.12.2018 which was directed to be decided within a period of four weeks from the date of the order of this Court i.e., 17.09.2019. He further submitted that the petitioner appeared before the District Collector on 27.09.2019. But no decision thereof has been taken by the District Collector.

2. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that appropriate orders will be passed on the representation of the petitioner dated 25.12.2018 within a period of two weeks from today.

3. In view of the said submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader, , we are not inclined to proceed further in this contempt petition. Hence, recording the submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader, this Contempt petition is closed. However it is made

clear that in case any adverse order is passed, the petitioner is at liberty to seek further remedy in accordance with law.
