PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, to direct the second respondent police to Register an FIR on the complaint dated 07.12.2022 by the petitioner as per order dated 01.04.2024 in Crl.MP.No.25130 of 2023 by the Metropolitan Magistrate for exclusive trial of CCB and CBCID cases, Egmore, Chennai. ORDER

When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that by an order dated 01.04.2024, the learned Metropolitan Magistrate for exclusive trial of CCB and CBCID cases, Egmore, Chennai, had directed the second respondent to enquire into the matter and if necessary, to register a First Information Report or file a final report. Pursuant to the said order, the second respondent completed the enquiry and filed a final report before the trial Court on 21.07.2025, thereby, complying with the order of the trial Court. 2.

At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the final report has not been served on the petitioner so far. __________Page 2 of 4

The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that today a copy of the final report has been served on the petitioner and that there was no prior direction by the Court to serve a copy of the final report on the petitioner. Thus, the final report has now been served before this Court. 4.

In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition stands closed. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to challenge the final report, if so adivsed, in the manner known to law.
