Respondent in both CRPs Prayer : Civil Revision Petitions filed Under Section 25 of the Tamilnadu Building (Lease and Rent) Control Act 1973, to set aside the order passed in M.P.No.376 of 2017 in R.C.A.No.824 of 2017 dated 20.12.2017 and in M.P.No.377 of 2017 in R.C.A.No.826 of 2017 passed by the learned VIII Small Causes Court Judge at Chennai dated 20.12.2017.
For Petitioner in both Revision petitions : Mr.A.Muniraj For Respondent in both Revision petitions : Mr.L.Dhamodaran C O M M O N O R D E R These Civil Revision Petitions have been filed against the Order dated 20.12.2017, made in M.P.No.376 of 2017 in R.C.A.No.824 of 2017 and the order
made in M.P.No.377 of 2017 in R.C.A.No.826 of 2017 on the file of the VIII Small Causes Court, Chennai dated 20.12.2017.
2. This Court while granting an order of interim stay, imposed condition that the revision petitioners in both revision petitions shall pay a sum of Rs.8,00,000/- and Rs.4,39,200/- respectively, to the respondent towards rental arrears from April 2016 to December, 2017 within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the said order.
3. Thereafter, the revision petitioners in both revision petitions have filed another petition in C.M.P.Nos. 8159 and 8160 of 2018 respectively, to extend the time for compliance of the order dated 11.01.2018 passed by this Court. Wherein, this Court by an order dated 28.04.2018, has extended the time by four weeks for compliance of the order dated 11.01.2018.
4. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the revision petitioners seeks further time to comply with the order dated 11.01.2018. This Court is not inclined to extend the time and therefore further extension of time sought for by the learned counsel for the revision petitioners is rejected.
5. Accordingly, both the revision petitions are disposed of with a direction to the Rent Control Appellate Authority viz., the VIII Small Causes Court at Chennai to dispose of the main appeal in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.
