Seeking benefits of the enactment, which provides for confirmation, after serving for the statutory period, the petitioner who is a contract labour, made a representation on 29.07.2016. Seeking appropriate orders on the same, the present writ petition has been filed.

3.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and taking note of the pendency of the representation, without going into the merits of the case, a direction is issued to the respondents to pass appropriate orders on the representation dated 29.07.2016 within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
