Respondents Prayer : - Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a Writ of Certiorari, praying to call for the records of the 1st respondent viz the Revenue Divisional Officer and Land Acquisition Officer, South Chennai Revenue Division, Guindy, Chennai - 600 032, in respect of the impugned Form A (See Rule 3) a show notice dated 01.11.2018 issued under Section (2) of the Section 3 of the Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purposes Act, 1977 (Tamil Nadu Act, 10 of 1999) for the land specified and situated in Mylapore Part - I Village, Mylapore Taluk, Chennai District for Corridor - 4-5 Alwarpet Metro Station more fully described in the impugned show cause notice as Block No.34, Survey No.1650/7 description shown as Ryotwari/Quit Rent measuring to an extent of 391 sq.mts belonging to the petitioners herein and quash the same unsustainable in law.

ORDER

It is specifically stated by Mr.Jayesh B.Dolia, learned counsel appearing for the second respondent, namely, Chennai Metro Rail Limited, Represented by its Chairman, Administrative Officer, Chennai Metro Rail Department, Poonamallee High Road, Koyambedu, Chennai - 600 107 that no steps have been taken in respect of the land and there is no intention or plan to acquire the said land.

2. Recording the said statement made by Mr.Jayesh B.Dolia, learned counsel for the second respondent, the writ petition is closed. However, if any coercive action is taken against the writ petitioner, he is at liberty to approach this Court seeking necessary relief.

Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
