JUDGMENT

The present Civil Miscellaneous Appeal has been filed under Section 30 of the W.C Act, against the order dated 03.02.2010 passed in W.C.No.366 of 2007 by the Commissioner for Workmen's Compensation - II, Chennai - 600 006 with a prayer to set aside and the same. The said order has been received by the appellant on 09.03.2010.

2. Though many contentions were raised, it is noticed that the issue for consideration is no longer res integra and is covered by the decisions of this Court rendered 1/2 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

in the Judgement in the case of N.Ganesan Vs 1.Thilagavathi 2.United India Insurance Company Limited, Motor Third Party Claim Cell, No.38, Anna Salai, Chennai - 2, 2010 (2) TN MAC 80 (DB). As per the said Judgment, it has been held that the interest on compensation is payable thirty days after the date of accident in which workman sustained injuries, resulting in death.

3. The learned counsel for the respondents fairly submits that the said decision settles the issue. In view of the same, the Civil Miscellaneous Appeal stands allowed as prayed for.
