Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representations dated 15.11.2017 and 30.1.2018 submitted with reference to request transfer from the Government Thiruvarur Medical College and Hospital, Tiruvarur to the Government General Hospital, Virudhunagar or Aruppukkottai. ORDER

The petitioner was selected to be appointed as Staff Nurse and serving at Government Thiruvarur Medical College and Hospital from 18.8.2011. She also delivered a male child at Aruppukottai on 16.5.2013 and her in-laws, who are permanent residents of Aruppukottai Town, Virudhunagar District and taking care of the minor child of the petitioner. As a result, the

petitioner is regularly undertaking 500 kilometers long travel to see her minor child at Aruppukottai and therefore, mentioning that it is very difficult for her to make a long travel to see her minor child. It is also stated that the petitioner's husband is the Commanding Officer serving in Indian Army, 12 Corps Signal Regiment (AREN), Rajasthan.

In view of this, she has given representations dated 15.11.2017 and 30.1.2018 to respondents 2 and 3, seeking transfer to Government General Hospital at Virudhunagar or to Aruppukkottai and the same has not been considered till date. Therefore, a direction is to be issued to respondents 2 and 3.

3. Considering the limited nature of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, respondents 2 and 3 are directed to consider the representations submitted by the petitioner on 15.11.2017 and 30.1.2018 and pass orders on merits in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
