Both these writ petitions are filed for a mandamus directing the respondent to pass appropriate orders on the representation filed by the petitioners, wherein and whereby, they have sought for fixation of the fair rent as per the settlement, Since they claim that the properties purchased by them were conferred on their vendors under the Madras Minor Inams (Abolition and Conversion into Ryotwari) Act, vide settlement order dated 07.11.2016.
3. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner as it is for the respondent to consider and decide. Therefore, the writ petitions are disposed of by directing the respondent to pass orders on the petitioners' representation dated 31.01.2018, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due opportunity of hearing https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
to the petitioner and the other interested parties,if any. Such exercise shall be done by the respondent within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
