Respondents This Habeas Corpus Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus to call for the records pertaining to detention order Memo No.411/BCDFGISSSV/2015 dated 30.05.2015 on the file of the second respondent and quash the same and direct the respondents herein to produce the body of the petitioner's husband Appu @ Silambarasan, aged 27 years, son of Venkatesan, the detenu, now confined at Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai, before this Court and set him at liberty. O R D E R
[Order of the Court was made by S.TAMILVANAN, J.] Petitioner, who is the wife of the detenu, has come forward with this petition challenging the detention order passed by second respondent dated 30.05.2015 against her husband, branding him as a "Goonda" under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of
Bootleggers, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Slum Grabbers and Video Pirates Act, 1982 [Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982].
2. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor, would submit that the detention order passed against the husband of the petitioner dated 30.05.2015 in Memo No.411/BCDFGISSSV/2015 on the file of the second respondent is revoked on the opinion expressed by the Advisory Board by the Government of India in G.O.Rt.No.4489, Home, Prohibition and Excise (X) Department, dated 22.07.2015 and produced a copy of the said order.
In view of the above, this petition is closed as it has become infructuous.
