The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents herein to frame guidelines for Registration of Import Contracts and permit import of Poppy Seeds from Turkey pursuant to the Notification No. 17/2015-2020, dated 29.7.2016, issued by the 1st respondent and permit the petitioner to import the contracted quantity of 540 MTS each of Turkish White Poppy Seeds Crop 2017 and Turkish White Poppy Seeds 2018, in terms of contract No.101 dated 21.11.2018 and 106 dated 21.11.2018.

2. When the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the prayer sought for in the present Writ Petition become infructuous and therefore, he is not pressing this petition and prays for closure of this petition. 2/4

3. In the light of the same, this Writ Petition is dismissed as not pressed. No costs. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
