The petitioner has come up with this Writ Petition seeking a direction to the respondents to sanction educational loan to his daughter, viz. T.Suganthi, who is studying B.E. Electronics Communication Engineering at Kalaignar Karunanidhi Institute of Technology, Kannapalayam Sulur Taluk, Coimbatore.
According to the petitioner, he approached the 2nd respondent/Bank to avail educational loan for his daughter under the Central Government Scheme framed by the Ministry of Human Resource Department and gave a requisition letter on 06.01.2017 along with necessary documents. Since the Bank Manager refused to sanction loan, the petitioner sent a representation to the Chairman of the respondent/Bank requesting him to sanction educational loan. Since no action is taken on the said representation, the petitioner has approached this Court. 3.
Heard the learned counsel on either side. Learned counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's representation will be disposed of within a period of three weeks, if the same is not disposed of so far. 4.
In view of the above, without going into the merits of the case, the respondents are directed to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 24.01.2017 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
